KIM Dong-ho
Korea/ Director of Pusan International Film Festival
Born in 1937 in South Korea. Graduated from Seoul National University, and subsequently built his reputation over 27 years working for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (formerly the Ministry of Culture and Information), holding positions such as president of the Korean Motion Picture Promotion Corporation. His tireless endeavors as director of Pusan International Film Festival since its founding have solidified its status as a focal point for Asian cinema. Winner of numerous awards both at home and abroad for his achievements in promoting Korean cinema. Also has extensive experience serving on film festival juries worldwide. |

SUWA Nobuhiro
Japan/Film director
Born in 1960. Made documentaries before directing his first feature "2/Duo" in 1997. Won acclaim for his method of developing scripts in collaboration with cast members during shooting. His second feature "M/OTHER" (99) won several awards in Japan and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes Festival. Presented "H Story" in 2001, a contemporary rethinking of Alain RESNAIS' "Hiroshima, mon amour." Won the Locarno Festival's Special Jury Prize and CICAE Prize for "Un couple parfait" in 2005, and also directed a segment for "Paris, je t'aime!" (05), an omnibus film dedicated to Paris. |

OSHIMA Tomoyo
Japan/Film Editor
Born in Akita City, Japan in 1949. Joined the Uraoka Film Editing Office in 1970 and was mentored by URAOKA Keiichi. Went freelance in 1972 and has since edited over 40 films, 100 TV programs and 50 commercials. Major works include “Jongara” (73, SAITO Koichi), “Labyrinth Tale” (75, TERAYAMA Shuji), “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” (83, OSHIMA Nagisa), “Grass Labyrinth” (83, TERAYAMA Shuji), “Maboroshi” (95, KORE-EDA Hirokazu), “Falling Into the Evening” (98, GOZU Naoe), “Taboo” (99, OSHIMA Nagisa) and “Dead Run” (05, SABU). |

Born in 1964 in Seoul. Established production company BOM in 1999. Major works as a producer include “The Foul King” (00, KIM Jee-Woon) shown at TOKYO FILMeX 2000, Korea/Hong Kong/Thai co-production “Three”(02), “Untold Scandal” (03, E J-Yong), “A Bittersweet Life” (05, KIM Jee-Woon), and “Woman on the Beach” (06, HONG Sang-Soo). Also produced “You’re My Sunshine” (05), the second feature of director PARK Jin-Pyo whose “Too Young to Die” (02) was screened at TOKYO FILMeX 2002. |

Author of “Jacques Tourneur: The Cinema of Nightfall.” Film critic for “The Boston Phoenix,” and also active internationally as a writer for “Film Comment,” “Cineaste,” “Quarterly Journal: Inter-Communication,” “Osian’s Cinemaya,” “Film International” and other publications. Panelist at the Yasujiro OZU 100th Anniversary International Symposium in 2003. Lectures in film studies and film history at Yale and other American universities. |
