Special Program (2) Golden Classics 1950s
Presented by Shochiku and TOKYO FILMeX,
with the cooperation of National Film Center, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo and the Japan Foundation
Celebrating both Shochiku Kinema's 90th and Tokyo Gekijo's 80th anniversaries, special screenings will be held at the Togeki theater this year again. The special program "Golden Classics 1950s" will cover the great films of Shochiku, mainly from the golden era of Japanese cinema in the 1950s.
The new English subtitled prints were made as a part of the TOKYO CULTURE CREATION PROJECT in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture.
